I found this drawing in an old sketchbook and really liked it, specially since I don't do a lot building/structural drawings. I remember wanting to develop it further, maybe recreate it in 3D, or something. Anyway, it's just a quick doodle, so I decided to add some color for now.
It's funny how you can look back on something with fresh eyes and have a completely different appreciation for it. It's like I don't remember drawing it, so I'm looking at it completely objectively.

Cool artwork
The ray of the light is wonderfully done. It looks almost real.
I agree- it is cool. I feel like it should be a part of a Tim Burton movie.
yes..it's indeed cool as well as soothing .
That is a cool drawing with great lighting effect. It looks like something out of a sci-fi film.
You're right it is fun to go back and play with a drawing or painting and also a photo in Photoshop.
This is great! What do you use for coloring, do you mostly use computers for that?
i know exactly what you mean! my parents are cleaning out their garage and i found some of my old artwork there... great drawing, can't wait to see the 3d version!
O.O kick ass drawing
you should really try and make it 3D
*gasps*
love the the color!!
Awesome drawing! You are really talented.
Quite a nice drawing there. I like the sketchiness of it, and yet it seems to have an altogether wholeness to it. It reminds me of something Jhonen Vasquez would draw.
So many places this piece could go - I can imagine the people or "inhabitants" of this abode. You have a gift.
I really like your drawings! I have wanted to learn animation for a long time but they don't teach it at my college for the most part. What program would you recommend for a beginner to get started with? I love drawing already, so...
BLU: I used Photoshop to color this after I scanned in my black/white marker drawing.
Michelle: If you already have a knack for drawing, I would suggest starting in flash, because it's a fairly simple program to learn and you can get started animating in 2d right away.
Thanks everyone for the great comments!
Cool art work! I now follow you! BTW my blog is www.digitalthoughtbubble.blogspot.com
geez this is cool. Im am far from graphically gifted, so you must have gotten my share of that trait, hah

I quickly looked through your blog. You have a good eye and you're very versatile! I like how each drawing has a sense of character. :-)

Looks like a great place to live. If you ever have it built in real life, I wanna' come over!
When I see this drawing I am, for some reason, reminded of "Invader Zim." Coincidentally enough, I am wearing an Invader Zim shirt right now. LOL. I really like this sketch. :)

Is that a light post on the back of the building? I really like that touch. Do you do any design work at all? I am currently going into Animation, but I'm thinking of switching to design. I have some of my stuff on my blog if you want to see it. http://freepatrioticbackground.blogspot.com
Let me know what you think.
The whole design of it is really unique and stand out-ish. I really enjoy the colors used as well.
look at my blog it is about video games
Nicely said and well colored. I'll have a look at my old drawings now and try something on it and put it on my blog. ;) Thanks for the "idea"
Hello! I like to view your work, sometimes it's funny, serious, or sad, and this House that the peace and quiet, just want to relax and listen to cricket in the grass or Nightingale. Very interesting, thank you!!
Very very fantastic! Love animations!! it´s world!
:D
This is a really neat drawing. You should definitely take it into 3D. It looks like it would make a great starting place to a short.

Love this house!
Something about this really pulls me.
Sort of a cross between a mud hut on that swamp planet and the stone/wall houses on Tatooine in Star Wars.
I'm glad I found your work, I'll check back in.
Cheers,
K
Artistic!
